The one thing to say about Steve – Like him or not – He was a visionary, a perfectionist but most importantly – BOLD. He was bold enough to make tough decisions, to make game changing ideas come to life, take business chances on new technologies like NeXT and Pixar and inspire.
Being a freelance designer can be very rewarding. You’re your own boss, you’re not stuck in an office and there is really no limit on how much you can potentially earn. But it’s no walk in the park either. There is the creative side and there is the business side. If you are first starting out as a freelance designer or have been in the business for a bit, everyone knows paperwork can be a headache. The more clients you get the more paper work you are going to have. Whether it is keeping track of your monthly expenses or clients payment we all need some sort of records.
We came across thi quote a few weeks ago: “Design is an opportunity to continue telling the story, not just to sum everything up”. We believe that every design agency and freelancer should have this same passion in their work. Designing is not about making a quick buck, it is about putting your heart and soul into something you love.
